We operate as a totally VOLUNTEER organization.

No Paid Staff- just volunteers who care.

NO SHELTER BUILDING- JUST OUR HOME

Any donations we receive, go totally to the welfare and care of the cats.

Without your generosity we can not continue to help the unwanted, the abused or injured animals that we rescue from certain death. If people would spay & neuter their pets the needless death tolls in the local facilities would drop drastically.

We have started a program where we Trap-Neuter-Release cats.

We have successfully handled 20 so far and are working in area's in lake County to process more. We can only do this if you donate needed funds so we can provide this service in area's of over-population of so many wandering and feral cats.

We must STOP the reproduction, illness and suffering of these animals. With your help we can make a small dent- but any dent is better than none. One female cat that is spayed prevents thousands of unwanted kittens over her life lifetime.

We can offer this service but not without your financial support.

It costs us about $40.00 a cat to treat and release back to it's familiar area, unless we think the cat is adoptable. Then we hold it for evaluation and the potential for adoption. many of these so called Feral cats - are really someones "thrown-out" pet. Several that we have processed are wonderful cats once they realize we are helping them and they feel safe again.

The Humane Society of the United States estimates that nearly 6 - 8 MILLION dogs and cats enter rescue/shelter facilities each year and that 3 - 4 MILLION of those are euthanized each year. Most of these are unwanted puppies and kittens.

IT WAS DESTROYED IN THE LAST FLOODING - WE HAD SEVERAL INCHES OF WATER IN IT AND IT'S ALMOST A FOOT OFF THE GROUND. THE WALLS ARE WARPED AND MOLDED - THE FLOOR IS FALLING THROUGH AND THE FOUNDATION HAS COME LOOSE.

WE NEED TO REBUILD OR WE CAN NOT HOUSE ANYMORE RESCUE CATS.

WE NEED MONETARY FUNDS TO REBUILD !!

As the year comes to close- we may have to as well. Donations have been at an all time LOW ! Adoptions have been very slow and we are overloaded with many adult cats and still many kittens.

Hopes were high for 2008, but the warm weather brought us a never ending line of kittens that needed our assistance. It is December and still we receive calls everyday to take in more unwanted kittens or adult cats that the owners are tired of and want something new. "Take our cat or we will throw it out".

If I hear that one more time I might just crack!!

Are people that uncaring in this world that a living -breathing creature means nothing?

Just when you think you have heard every crazy reason to dump the cat in a rescue- someone else tops that with something even more uncaring, unemotional and insensitive.

I REFUSE TO STOP CARING & RESCUING THOSE IN NEED.

We can not continue without your support. We have exhausted our funds and can not continue unless we get more donations! We need so much and count on you to help.
