My Family loved me so much they stopped  feeding me for weeks ! We don't rescue dogs - but this case is so horrific that i couldn't help but post it to my site so you can see what a "kind-hearted" family did to there loving dog ZEUS. Rather than turn this dog over to  proper authorities- they tried to starve it to death before they got fined for having too many dogs in town. He is now in foster care and one of the best dogs i have ever met. He has the best personality and so loving and patient. GOD BLESS THIS SURVIVOR ! ZEUS His family should be locked up and not fed for a month and see how they like it ! Cold hearted bast--rds !

OUR  MISSION
To provide a caring, positive environment to those animals that have been either neglected, abused, abandoned, and/or those that are in need of a permanent home.  We will place these animals in a loving atmosphere that benefits both the animal and the adoptive family. THANK YOU - ART FOR CRITTERS-  A WONDERFUL GROUP OF ARTISTS THAT CARE ABOUT ANIMALS. We operate as a totally VOLUNTEER organization. No Paid Staff- just volunteers who care. NO SHELTER BUILDING- JUST OUR HOME Any donations we receive, go totally to the welfare and care of the cats. Without your generosity we can not continue to help the unwanted, the abused or injured animals that we rescue from certain death. If people would spay & neuter their pets the  needless death tolls in the local facilities would drop drastically. The Humane Society of the United States estimates that  nearly 6 - 8 MILLION dogs and cats enter rescue/shelter facilities each year and that 3 - 4 MILLION of those are euthanized each year. Most of these are unwanted puppies and kittens. Our local Humane Society published that they euthanized 860 cats/kittens over a 3 month period this summer. That is TERRIBLE--All those helpless creatures died because people will NOT SPAY & NEUTER there pets ! Save lives--spay and neuter - stop the killing. We have access to several places that will do discount services- contact us for information. Stop the cycle-- SPAY & NEUTER  your animals. DON'T SHOP--ADOPT ! As the year comes to close- we may have to as well.  Donations have been at an all time LOW ! Adoptions have been very slow and we are overloaded with many adult cats and still many kittens. Hopes were high for 2007, but the warm weather brought us a never ending line of kittens that needed our assistance.  It is December and still we receive calls everyday to take in more unwanted kittens or adult cats that the owners are tired of and want something new.  "Take our cat or we will throw it out". If I hear that one more time I might just crack!! Are people that uncaring in this world that a living -breathing creature means nothing? Just when you think you have heard every crazy reason to dump the cat in a rescue- someone else tops that with something even more uncaring, unemotional and insensitive. I REFUSE TO STOP CARING &  RESCUING THOSE IN NEED. We can not continue without your support. We have exhausted our funds and can not continue unless we get more donations!  We need so much and count on you to help. If you can't adopt - please donate so we can feed and house these unwanted pets. We don't operate out of a shelter building- we do it out of our home. With at least 40+ cats and kittens in our care- we need DONATIONS. Vet bills, health care, food, litter, housing, blankets, towels, medicine, - you name it - we need it- Please  DONATE  and help us, help the cats CAST-A-WAY CATS 2008
