Cast-A-Way Cats is a growing, 501(c)3 Non Profit, NO KILL, feline rescue. December 2007 - Cast-A-Way Cats is overloaded with needy kittens and adult cats. Adoptions have been very slow this year but the influx has not ended. There are so many unwanted cats and kittens - it is so sad. We have exhausted our resources for medical care, food and litter - the basic supplies. We do not want to close our doors and stop helping those that need us. BUT- if the donations don't start heading our way - we will have no choice but the close the rescue. This website has been functioning for almost 2 years and not one item on our wish list has ever been sent our way or enough money to purchase any of these needed items. Any donations that have come in have been used totally for vet care and food. We are in NEED of help. My few volunteers are worn out with trying to get by with what we have-- and we need more. The community keeps expecting us to take in unwanted cats yet when we admit a cat-- we get no assistance to care for that cat. Do people think that when we take in there" beloved" pet that the money comes from the sky to feed, medicate and care for their pet? It comes mostly from our own pockets- we work our butts off at full time jobs and forfeit any simple pleasures so that we can save and provide loving care for someone else's unwanted pet. We do it because some one has to do it or they will die and it isn't there fault they have become unwanted. Don't wait for someone else to help out-- YOU do it. We have till the end of this year to provide that loving home for these creatures and the care their families no longer wanted to give. My hope is to get several thousand dollars in this year yet so we can get out of debt and continue to provide service to these animals in need- please save US so we can continue to save THEM.! Our wish lists grows faster than our donations come in. We are in need of standard supplies like bleach, litter boxes, litter, cat food, goat chow, hay, straw, mops, paper towels & plates, and always any monetary donation goes directly into the shelter for the care or rescued animals. Cast-A-Way Cats is looking for some Good Volunteers! WE ARE IN NEED OF HAY BALES FOR THE GOATS !
